Founding and Managing Partner
Gene has decades-long experience in the practice of public accountancy specializing in taxation. He began his career in the tax department of Arthur Andersen & Company, the world’s largest international CPA firm at the time. Later joining the international accounting firm of Grant Thornton, Gene became a partner in the Dallas office tax department. Gene left what had become the ninth largest CPA Firm to found his own firm, which later became Stoner, Albright & Company.
Areas of expertise include transaction structuring, mergers, acquisitions, entity formation and re-organizations as well as representation of high-income individuals and their closely held businesses and related entities with their complex tax needs. He also successfully represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities. In addition to being a world-class, internationally ranked athlete at the University of Oklahoma and the founding and managing partner of a long-standing successful CPA firm, Gene could not be more pleased than to conduct business on a daily basis with his former client and extraordinary wife, Susan, as well as their exemplary son, Bryan.
